Fidelity ADT Officer Stopelaar recently went above the call of duty to ensure Brits residents felt cared for and safe.
On 13 January at around 11:30 Officer Phillipus Stopelaar was driving along Pelindaba road(R512) and noticed two women, waving for him to stop standing alongside the road next to a car. The Officer stopped to help and was informed that their car had lost power and just stopped. The women had been standing on the side of the road for a longtime, and no-one stopped to help.
One of the ladies, Jeanine, phoned Fidelity ADT to thank officer Stopelaar for his kindness and they were scared and worried as the area they broke down in, is a hotspot for hijackings and robberies. ‘This pleasant gentleman did not hesitate to stop and help us when we were standing next to the road with a broken down car. It was such a pleasure to meet him and I just want to say a big ‘Thank you, Phillipus’!
Fidelity ADT Branch Manager, Maurice Malan , says he is very proud of their Officer who is an asset to the Fidelity ADT team. “We always aim to go above and beyond what residents expect of us. In situations like these we can see this philosophy in action,” he says.
