While everyone is on lockdown until April, it is comforting to note that security essential services are still around to keep us safe.
This morning, Monday 30 March at approximately 7:40, Fidelity ADT Reaction Officers, Bennet Leema and Petrus Nosenga, responded to an alarm activation at a home in Florida North. The homeowner confirmed she had seen a suspicious suspect in her garden who was caught passing her lawnmower over the fence to someone outside her property.
The suspects worried that they had been seen, immediately fled. On arrival the Officers got a good description of the suspects from the homeowner and starting scouring the neighbourhood. They spotted three suspects pushing the lawn mower further along the street and managed to apprehend two of the suspects at the corners of Conrad and Louis Botha streets. Both suspects were handed over to Constable Billings from Florida SAPS.
Danie Nortje, Fidelity ADT Area Manager Armed Response says, “Everyone is feeling unsure and vulnerable right now. The last thing you need is to worry about your security.”
He reminds residents to follow their normal security protocols during the lockdown process. “We want to reassure the community that while you are staying home keeping safe, our officers will continue to patrol to ensure your safety,” he concludes.
