Fidelity ADT’s Phindile Heckson Njotini received a Platinum award at the Fidelity Services Group awards for the outstanding service he is providing the residents in the Oulansloop localised security scheme. Njotini apprehended two suspects over three months in the scheme – one for trespassing and the other following a house break-in.
On 13 June, he was on his way to open the gate at Pecan Place, Die Wilgers, when he spotted a suspect climbing over the gate. He apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the Silverton SAPS.
Then on 26 August, a break-in was reported at a house in Piet Louw, Murrayfield. The suspect had been spotted and was being chased by a Fidelity ADT Officer. A description of the suspect was shared with Officer Njotini and he saw the suspect at Oulansloop. He caught the suspect and the SAPS arrived to arrest him.
“We are exceptionally proud of the professional and decisive way Officer Njotini handled these two situations. He is deserving of this award and we extend our congratulations to him,” says Leon Muller, District Manager Fidelity ADT. “These arrests highlight just how affective security area schemes can be.”
