A total of 269 persons and 52 vehicles were searched in addition to compliance checks at 3 licensed liquor outlets.

52 Security and law enforcement personnel and 33 vehicles participated in the operation.  Fidelity ADT was strongly represented with seven vehicles and nine members in total.

Commander, Colonel Subramanian, and Operational Commander, Luitenant Colonel Ndaba, oversaw the operation which took place between 14:00 and 22:00.

Natasha Basson, Community Development Manager for Fidelity ADT said the operation was successful with a number of drug busts and well as the closure of one illegal liquor outlet. Another 3 licensed liquor outlets were visited to check for compliance but all were found to be in order.

No house and business robberies or car and truck hijackings were reported during the operation.

Basson concludes, “This is the second joint operation this past month and the increased visibility and show of force is definitely working.”
