Thieves caught stealing aluminium bars in Gallo Manor

Fidelity ADT Reaction Officer Parkson Dube was patrolling along Daffodil Road in Gallo Manor on 25 September at around (TIME), when he saw two suspects walking along carrying several new aluminium bars. He called for back-up and Reaction Officer Boniface Ngwenya arrived to assist. Together they went to a residence in Lotus Street where there was often a truck parked that had the aluminium bars on it. They spoke to the truck owner who confirmed that the aluminium bars were his. The Officers immediately apprehended the suspects and the aluminium bars were returned. The suspects were placed under arrest by the Sandton SAPS.

Aslam Munsur, Community Development Manager Fidelity ADT, says this incident shows just how important it is that security companies actively patrol areas. “These Officers keep a watchful eye on our suburbs and ensure that criminals such as these don’t get away. I would like to encourage all residents to, where possible, ensure their cars are securely parked in a garage or inside a gate. Please also check your perimeter security to make sure there are no vulnerable areas especially ahead of the pre-festive season where crime increases,” he says.
